Academic Excellence
A rigorous, differentiated academic program designed to ensure every student exceeds grade-level expectations.

Differentiated Learning
Because our students will come from a wide spectrum of educational backgrounds, we anticipate a significant range of abilities. It is essential that we do far more than bring every student to grade level — our goal is to ensure that each student ultimately performs at levels that exceed grade-level expectations.
Students will be ability-grouped in select core academic courses—specifically Math, Science, English, and Language—where differentiated pacing and targeted skill development are most impactful. In contrast, History, while central to the academic program, will be intentionally heterogeneously grouped, alongside all electives and cultural programming. This model reflects a deliberate balance: providing precision in instruction where it most accelerates growth, while preserving shared intellectual experiences, diverse perspectives, and a strong sense of community in disciplines that benefit from collective inquiry and dialogue.
Diagnostic Assessment
Before school begins, all students will complete five diagnostic assessments in English, math, science, and language, complemented by a review of their prior academic records and input from students and families. Together, assessment results, academic history, and student and family feedback will determine placement in the appropriate instructional groups at the start of the year.

Mosaic Movement
Mosaic Movement is a daily, all-school 35-minute period designed to promote physical health, wellness, and community. During this time, students choose from a range of structured movement-based experiences that support both physical fitness and mental well-being. The goal is to ensure that every student engages in consistent, meaningful physical activity while also having agency and choice in how they move.
Students will select one of several rotating options each term, allowing them to explore different forms of movement and build lifelong healthy habits.

Trilingual Graduates
When students graduate from Mosaic Shalom, they will be fluent in both Spanish and Hebrew. Fluency requires sustained, immersive, and time-intensive approaches beyond traditional classroom instruction. MSA's curriculum and instructional design are built to achieve exactly that — equipping students with the linguistic tools to transcend the barriers that language so often creates in a typical school setting, and to engage authentically across cultures, communities, and disciplines.
